Matte Art

One of my Girlfriends from Knoxville, and fellow Crafter (Actually shes more of an Artist and I'm the Crafter) Catherine, just sent me a link to these fantastic Collage-Inspired Paintings  by Matte Stephens.


I really like his whimsical depictions and colors - very bright with a little bit of an acid wash to them.  While the above painting is of Canal Street here in New Orleans, not all of his work is about NOLA...He also does New York and San Francisco as well as many figuratives!
