Step it Up!

I've started stalking Craigs List Antiques after reading an article on NOLA.com about hidden gems.  Most of what is on Craigs List falls into the "One Man's Trash is another Man's Treasure" category, but I found one seller that is actually a local Furniture Store that is pretty cool...

Nadeau or "Furniture With a Soul" is a hot little Boutique on Magazine Street, but also has locations in Birmingham, Buckhead, Charleston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Hollywood, Huntsville, Jacksonville, Miami, Nashville, New York and Savannah.  All of their pieces have a real "One of a Kind" feel to them.  I know they aren't but they look it, its not like walking into some "Big Box" furniture store.  The pieces are unique, well crafted but with a slightly vintage feel.  If I had the money...I'd redecorate our entire Apartment in their furniture!  And surprisingly...it isn't that expensive.  I mean, it isn't Ikea...but its not incredibly marked up for what you are getting!

One of my favorite pieces that I saw on Craigs List and later found on their website is this Step Chest.  How cool would it be to use it as storage and then display little Trinkets, Vases, and Picture Frames on the Steps? Not only would it be Functional but also create a wonderful visual element in a room...no one expects a stair-stepped chest of drawers!
