If you Remember I was the Last Person in New Orleans to find out that the show was filming just a mile from our little Apt! And while we never got to "hang" with the cast, we did see them out a couple of times...the video cameras kinda gave them away...
I used to be a HUGE Real World Fan...back in Middle School and now I remember why I stopped watching. I hate drama...HATE DRAMA. And the central theme to Real World is Drama. There was even a crazy intense name calling, slur filled Knock Down drag out on the first show? Ridiculous, and not in a good way. As usual you have your Black Guy, your Buff "Hot Guy" who is also a recovering drug addict, your Gay guy, and your Homo-phobe conveniently disguised as a metrosexual. The Female cast has an obnoxious Southern trailer trash hooker, sweet and innocent Surfer chick, Slutty Jersey girl and a respectable Muslim girl conflicted with her culture and upbringing...I'm already annoyed with half of them.
The house on the outside is gorgeous...but inside? It looks like the worst of stereotypical New Orleans threw up all over the place! Fake Alligators, Mardi Gras masks, and Swampy Murals...The only thing I really liked was the Saxophone Chandelier.
Despite the fact that I would rather die than watch another episode...I have committed myself to watching the ENTIRE season. Why? Because its in New Orleans! Why else?! I Love this City and can't wait to see what crazy shenanigans these kids get into! Maybe it will introduce me to a new hot spot? Restaurant? or Place to Go! I love this city and thats why I will support the ridiculousness!
By the Way today is Our 1 year Anniversary of moving to New Orleans and I can without a doubt say that it was the best decision we could have made!
