I've been several times in the last year since its opening, but I managed to make it the Bar "Oak" on Oak Street twice this week! The first time was for Happy Hour to celebrate my Friend Emily's Birthday! They have great Happy Hour Specials - A Featured Red and White Wine and a Signature Cocktail!

My second stop at Oak this week was as the second stop on the Abita Summer Pub Crawl introducing the Seasonal Wheat! Our first stop was GB's and the last was Carrollton Station - both were much more "Pub Crawl" than classy Oak! Also, Oak is laid out more for leisurely, comfortable wining and dining...not for 400 20-somethings chugging $1 beers...
It might not be the Pub Crawl kind of place, but Oak is one of my favorite little places now! So clean and crisp inside...not too crowded, plenty of wine and close to our apartment! I might not be going twice a week from now on, but more often...Absolutely!
