Put the Lime in the Coconut...

Sooo, you know that ridiculous Song? The "Put the Lime in the Coconut / Drink them both Together / Put the Lime in the Coconut / Then you Feel Better!" well turns out it isn't as ridiculous as it sounds...and their is some medical backing for the fact that Coconut Water does make you feel all better!


So my friend Rebecca had been telling me about the "healing powers" of Coconut Water on a hangover...I tend to have some pretty terrible hangovers so I decided to try out the Coconut water after a night of Bourbon Street Boozing this weekend.  I had one 8oz Coconut Water before "going to bed" ie. passing out, and one the next morning when I woke up...I went back to bed for another hour or so, and I'm not going to lie I felt pretty good! 


Coconut water isn't the best thing you've ever tasted...(in fact I might add a little Lime to my Coconut from now on)...but it's well worth it! I bought 6 more bottles! I've been drinking the Naked brand, but am eager to try some of the other brands to see if they taste a little better. Apparently the Coconut water has tons of potassium and electrolytes and is much better for you than sports drinks...I dont care about the science, all I know if that Gatorade has never made me feel this good! I'm sold!
