Well it has clearly been awhile since I have blogged. This time of the year is absolutely chaotic for me. Every night another Recruitment, Open House or Leader Training each for a different troop each for different schools. I have talked to so many people in the last month I don't know how I can remember my own name let alone theirs! But all of my hard work is paying off! Each year I have to set a goal for myself for the number of girls that I need to recruit, with the assumption that by the end of the school year I will have reached 100%. But we have other benchmarks along the way...By September 1st I was to be at 60% and by December 1st I have to be at 85%. Well after this weekend's push to get girls registered to be able to participate in the Fall Product Sale I have officially gotten to 75% of my overall goal, which means I will easily by to 85% if not all the way to 100% by the time December rolls around!
In the midst of all of my craziness I have had some fun! Labor Day weekend Zach's Parents were in town and despite all the rain from Tropical Storm Lee it was a great visit. While we weren't able to get out and about too much we did eat well with dinner at Tommy's Fine Cuisine, Dante's Kitchen, Ralph's on the Park, and Emeril's. We also did a little sightseeing and finally made it over to Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World to visit all the Floats in the off season!
