Sunday Someday Dream Home...

I've got some free time on my hands this time of year as Zach is busy with Exams and my potential for new troops is lulling as people get into holiday mode, so I've found myself relying on an old stand by the occupy my time, I'm going back to blogging and stalking for my dream home.  Since we aren't really in a place to be seriously considering buying a home (we dont even know what state we'll be living in 6 months from now...) I'm going to start compiling photos of things I love...I found all of these perusing real estate listings in NOLA on Realtor.com, If I had been thinking I would have copied the links for the listings too, but I didn't, sorry!

I Love how they've utilized this attic space with the exposed beams and brick - two of my favorite things~Plus I love the exaggerated green ottoman in the middle of the room! Also beautiful hardwood!

Ahhh Outdoor space and what a beautiful balcony view of the French Quarter and Downtown! I dont need a big yard, just somewhere sit and enjoy a bottle of wine al fresco!

I love taking baths and I wish I had a great tub...and shower...and dressing area...and really just a bathroom where I have some elbow room...

More exposed Brick, and with the partial plastering, wide hardwood planks and a rich Oriental Rug...
Big Windows, Lots of Light, spacious kitchen (while I have to say this ones appliances are lacking...)

A Library or Den...even a Bedroom with Floor to ceiling bookshelves...this is why I will never switch over to a Kindle or the like, Books are just so beautiful!

I'm a sucker for the Secret Garden, and a water feature...not overly landscaped, just a quaint green patch...maybe even somewhere to stretch out in the sun...

This is in a Converted Warehouse on Conti...I love the extreme ceilings, light and brick...I think I could do the Warehouse district for a couple of years...live it up somewhere fun and hip as a two income household before the worry of kids...
Dark floors and white cabinets...and space...I would just love a kitchen where I dont have to set the cutting board on the sink to have enough counter space...

I need to keep stalking the listings...it was fun seeing what the market looks like down here...and very educational! All these houses were in excellent shape, but part of me wants a fixer-uper...but I doubt just how handy Zach could be...
